Celtic: Fans react to Henrik Larsson’s appearance at Southend game

Former Celtic striker Henrik Larsson was spotted at Stadium:MK on Saturday for the League One clash between MK Dons and Southend.

Chris Phillips, Chief Sports Reporter at the Southend Echo, tweeted via @CJPhillips1982 that the Sweden international was in attendance in Milton Keynes, with his name being linked to the vacant manager’s job with the Shrimpers.

According to the Southend Echo, Larsson is in the frame to replace Kevin Bond at Roots Hall, with the 47-year-old set to be interviewed for the position as his successor having initially been ruled out of the running.

The ex-Celtic man has managed five clubs in his native Sweden and was most recently in charge of Helsingborg, quitting the club in August following verbal abuse on social media, as per hif.se.

In a seven-year stint at the Hoops during his playing days, he scored 243 goals, including 53 in the 2000/01 season alone.

These Celtic fans on Twitter reacted with excitement upon seeing Larsson at Southend:

Do you think Larsson could be a success if he ends up as Southend manager? Would you like to see him back at Celtic one day? Comment below with your views!
