Celtic supporters have been in fine voice in recent times after seeing their team enjoy victory in the Old Firm derby at Parkhead last weekend.
Brendan Rodgers’ men went into their clash with bitter rivals Rangers fresh from booking their place in the group stages of the Europa League, having got past Suduva 4-1 on aggregate in the play-off round. And they made it three wins on the trot in all competitions at Celtic Park on Sunday as an Olivier Ntcham strike was enough to secure a narrow 1-0 victory for the Bhoys, thus moving them up to second place in the Scottish Premiership.
As such, there have been many thrilled Celtic fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom are likely to be intrigued by recent comments from Rangers frontman Kyle Lafferty.
The 30-year-old returned to Ibrox during the summer having left the club back in 2012, and played the full 90 minutes as Steven Gerrard’s men were unable to record a first success over their Old Firm rivals in six years.
Yet the striker has since suggested that the Gers believe that they can win a 55th league title this season, which has unsurprisingly prompted quite the reaction from Celtic supporters on Twitter.
And many of them have been saying the same thing regarding Lafferty’s comments, chiefly that this title would actually be the first that Rangers have won since they entered liquidation back in 2012…
