Three years ago, on April 23, Callum McGregor scored a fantastic goal to send Celtic to another Scottish Cup final, and a lot of the fanbase are loving a tweet from the club showing the great moment.
What made the goal even sweeter was the fact that it was against Old Firm rivals Rangers, and having thrashed the side, managed by Mark Warburton at the time, 5-1 at Celtic Park earlier in the season, the Hoops dealt their rivals another blow as they stopped them being able to pick up any silverware that season, via Celtic FC.
Scott Sinclair scored the other goal for the side in the game, but McGregor’s finish stole the show, with one fan saying: “If that was Messi everyone would be raving about it”. It was truly another iconic moment against their familiar opponents.
The 2-0 victory then set the Celts up for the domestic treble, but what was perhaps even more amazing was the fact that Brendan Rodgers’ side managed to complete this great achievement without even losing a match, via BBC Sport.
