Celtic: Fans remember great legend of the club Billy McNeill

A lot of Celtic fans and former player John Hartson are remembering how great Billy McNeill was at Paradise as both player and manager after a post from the club on Twitter.
The tweet shows his statistics, he made 790 appearances, won 13 league titles, 10 Scottish Cups, 7 League Cups and one European Cup, per CelticFC. His playing career spanned from 1958-1975, whilst he managed both from 1978-1983 and 1987-1991, via thecelticwiki.
It is absolutely incredible to see his dedication to the club, and the rewards he reaped during his time there. Obviously his biggest achievement will be playing in that 1967 European Cup team, and he is clearly respected by not just fans but former players as Hartson tweeted his praise, saying: “The Greatest ever Celt”.
With a record like the one shown, McNeill can definitely be deemed as one of the all time best at the club, some feat when you consider that a lot of great footballers have played in the green and white over the years.
Many fans had their say on McNeill, with one describing him as “incredible.”
