Many Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to express their sadness at the likely exit of winger Scott Sinclair from the club.
Does Scott Sinclair deserve more respect?
The Daily Record reported on Tuesday that the 30-year-old has flown back from Celtic’s mid-season training camp in Dubai to enter discussions with English Championship club Preston about a possible transfer, with Sinclair set to bring an end to his time with the Hoops.
The Daily Record quoted a source as saying: “It looks as if a move at this stage would be in the best interests of all parties.”
Sinclair came to the club in 2016 and scored in his first five league games, becoming the first Celtic player to manage the feat in 84 years.
He won three consecutive domestic trebles with the Hoops and scored 62 times in 167 games for the club but he has barely featured this season, with just seven appearances in total and only one since the end of September.
These Celtic fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment at the winger’s likely departure from Parkhead, with some feeling that he has been badly treated by Hoops manager Neil Lennon and another believing he is a better winger than James Forrest:
All the best to Scott Sinclair and his move to Preston, was a guaranteed match winner for about 18 months and played a massive part in the treble treble with some goal return for a winger. All in all a great player for us who should've been utilised more this season.

Won’t have a bad word said about Scott Sinclair. Unbelievable for 18 months and key to our invincible treble side.
Treated awfully these last six months and I wish him all the best wherever he ends up.

So that’s Scott Sinclair off. A man who had to deal with actual racist abuse during his time here, he played the biggest role in the invincible treble and on his day was easily one of the best Celtic players of the last decade. Good luck Scott and thank you 👏💚 @Scotty_Sinclair pic.twitter.com/LGFkYI29Id

Sad to see Scott Sinclair leave. He's been treated appallingly by Neil Lennon this season.
Scott was the catalyst for the Treble Treble. His signing elevated us. His contribution to one of the best times in our history shouldn't be underplayed.
Good luck @Scotty_Sinclair HH 💚
