A number of Celtic supporters were left distinctly unimpressed with the performance of Lewis Morgan on Wednesday night.
Despite being deployed as the Hoops’ most advanced player, he was unable to get on the scoresheet against Brian Rice’s men, being withdrawn in favour of Leigh Griffiths in the 68th minute.
Morgan had a part to play in the first goal on Wednesday, his 13th-minute shot being parried by Hamilton goalkeeper Luke Southwood straight to the onrushing Ryan Christie, who dispatched the ball to the net. [via BBC]
The 23-year-old’s performance met with less than stellar reviews with some reporters. Kade Kistner of The Celtic Bhoys said: “The converted striker has had chances to prove why he belongs, but has not been able to capitalize”, while Hamish Carton of 67hailhail.com feels that the Hoops are “missing something when he’s up top”.
These Celtic fans on Twitter delivered somewhat more damning verdicts on Morgan’s display against Hamilton:

Do you feel that Morgan should be playing at centre-forward for Celtic? Is he good enough to be in the team in any position? Join in the discussion by commenting below!
