Celtic: Fans were not happy to see Lewis Morgan start in Betfred Cup final

Celtic’s team news ahead of their Betfred Cup final clash versus rivals Rangers was released one hour before kick-off, and it is fair to say some supporters were not happy with what they saw.
Above all was the inclusion of Lewis Morgan, who led the line for the SPFL champions on the day.
Who is the better player, Mikey Johnston or Mohamed Elyounoussi
Johnston

Elyounoussi

Indeed, fans were frustrated to see the 23-year-old start in the latest edition of the Old Firm derby — and it is not hard to understand why they felt that way before a ball had even been kicked.
After all, Morgan is not a natural centre-forward, with Transfermarkt noting that his best position is on the left flank. As well as that, heading into the game at Hampden Park, Morgan had failed to score in a single SPFL fixture this season.
When you take all of that into account, it is understandable why not all Celtic supporters were on board.

I can’t fault Hayes for effort.
But both him and Morgan, are definite weaknesses. Lack quality— Gazzarinho (@gazzarinho1) December 8, 2019
A cup final and we have Morgan up front. Absolutely shocking position to be in. Waste of a player. Shocking selection

How did a club the size of Celtic get into a position were we can’t field a natural striker in a cup final? Baffling.
