Celtic: Fans not pleased with Neil Lennon’s handling of Scott Sinclair

Neil Lennon has been speaking to BBC Sportsound about Scott Sinclair’s current position in the Celtic squad given his lack of first-team opportunities, reported in The Daily Record.

Asked about the potential departure of Sinclair in the January window, Lennon said: “I hope not. He will still play a part.

Who has more potential, Odsonne Edouard or Moussa Dembele?

“We’ve got nine games in December and I imagine Scott will figure in the squad or even the team in some of those games.

“With Tom Rogic coming back into contention, Scotty has been squeezed out at the minute. I’ve got real competition in those places and Scott’s finding himself out of the picture at the minute.”

Sinclair’s position at Parkhead over the last six months has been something of a soap opera, between the club’s attempts to cash-in after extending his contract in May to Lennon claiming he still has an important part to play.

One of the issues that most fans are taking umbrage with is Lennon’s insistence on Lewis Morgan getting a squad place ahead of Sinclair despite him claiming it is Rogic that has forced him “out of the picture“.

These Celtic fans gave their verdict on Twitter on Lennon’s latest remarks in the on-going saga, with one supporter claiming he is a “far superior player” to Morgan.

One Celtic fan took one look at the squad from Sunday and felt that it is a clear indication that Sinclair’s time is up at Paradise.
