Celtic: These fans were quite relieved after hard-fought win over Aberdeen

Celtic may have registered their seventh consecutive Premiership victory on Sunday, and their ninth in a row in all competitions, but many of the club’s fans weren’t in an overly celebratory mood afterwards.
The Hoops maintained their winning form after a hard-fought success away to Aberdeen, with Kristoffer Ajer’s decisive goal in their 2-1 victory not arriving until the 81st minute at Pittodrie. That tense afternoon was in stark contrast with their previous six games, each of which was won by a margin of at least three goals.
The post-match statistics gave an indication of how stern a test Aberdeen presented, with both teams having six shots each, and the home side had several decent chances in addition to Ash Taylor’s 27th-minute equaliser. Funso Ojo and Niall McGinn both threatened Celtic’s goal late in the first half and Scott McKenna spurned a good opportunity to score after the interval. [via BBC]
Relief was the predominant feeling among these Hoops fans on Twitter at the final whistle, with one saying that Neil Lennon’s side “know how to inject stress into a Sunday”, the day of the week on which both of their league defeats this season fell and nearly tripped them up again, but for Ajer’s late intervention:
By God Celtic, you fair know how to inject stress into a Sunday! Nerves were shot to bits watching that game.
