Celtic winger Jonny Hayes is a January transfer target for three different English clubs, according to TEAMtalk.
Hayes, 32, joined the Scottish champions from Aberdeen in 2017 and has become a key part of Neil Lennon’s squad this season.
The Republic of Ireland international has made 16 appearances this season, scoring twice and assisting two more as his side sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership and their Europa League group.
Hayes is out of contract at the end of the season, and although the club want to offer him a new deal, his situation has caught the eye of Burnley, Huddersfield and Stoke already.
Who has more potential, Odsonne Edouard or Moussa Dembele?
When the January transfer window opens, they would be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Hayes that would see him arrive for the start of next season for no transfer fee.
Hayes is considering his options as he heads towards the later years of his career, with Cardiff City also long-time admirers of the winger.
While the temptation of Premier League football would be hard to resist, Hayes is surely likely to get more game time at Huddersfield or Stoke, who have both recently changed managers and are in desperate need of some fresh impetus given their standings in the Championship.
Burnley have also been keeping tabs on Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton, whose contract will expire in the summer.
With his contract running down, it looks very likely that Hayes could move south of the border. Indeed, it looks like he has plenty of options to consider when the winter transfer window opens.
