Celtic: Fans highlight two men in Player of the Season vote - Celtic

A lot of the Celtic fan base believe that it is between two players for the club’s Player of the Year award, after the Bhoys posted on Twitter asking for the faithful to vote for who they think has stood out this term.

The two players are central midfielder and club captain Scott Brown and striker Odsonne Edouard and it is easy to see why after the great campaigns they have both had.

Edouard has been so crucial to the squad and their success this year as he ranks as their top goalscorer with 27 goals whilst also having 10 assists to his name. Leigh Griffiths is the second top goalscoring striker at the club but only has 10, via BBC Sport.

question mark

How many goals did Chris Sutton score for the club?

Meanwhile Brown seems to be maturing like a fine wine as he consistently performed in the middle of the pitch for the Hoops. Indeed, his importance to the squad was highlighted by Brendan Rodgers who spoke after the club were awarded the title about the player, via Celtic FC,Β  saying: “He’s a phenomenal player and also a huge part of the glue that pulls everything together within the players. He’s selfless. He looks after them and he looks after the club”.

It looks like the voting will go down to the wire, and it will be interesting to see who ends up coming out on top.

Have a look at some of the reasons why these fans selected Edouard or Brown as their choice below…
