Celtic are favourites to lift their eighth consecutive league title after establishing an eight-point lead over Rangers.
The Gers looked set to push their bitter rivals all the way in the title race but their stuttering form has allowed Celtic to take full advantage. Brendan Rodgers’ men have been superb during 2019 and another thrilling win against Kilmarnock at the weekend cemented their position at the top of the standings. Bar a late miracle, Celtic will go on to lift their eighth Scottish Premiership crown in a row.
The focus will then switch to the summer transfer window where Brendan Rodgers is set to be exceptionally busy. Plenty of players are expected to depart due to expiring contracts and loan deals ending. Celtic fans should prepare for a hectic few months as the former Liverpool manager overhauls the squad.
One man the Hoops should aim to lure to Scotland is Blackburn Rovers hotshot – Bradley Dack. Valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, the attacking midfielder has established himself as a key player for Rovers after playing a crucial role in last season’s successful promotion bid. The 25-year-old netted an incredible 18 goals in League One and deservedly won the Player of the Year award.
Dack’s sensational form has continued in the Championship, scoring 14 and assisting eight for his team-mates so far this season in all competitions. The Englishman is blessed with excellent technical ability and the vision to carve open defences. His arrival in the Celtic engine room could help take their attack to the next level and potentially improve their dreadful performances in Europe.
Celtic would likely face competition from Premier League clubs in the race for Dack’s signature but the allure of Champions League football could be too difficult to turn down for the former Gillingham man.
