Celtic haven’t quite hit the heights that many thought they would in the current campaign as they appear to be sliding under Brendan Rodgers.
The Hoops will be desperate to seek improvements immediately in the Scottish Premiership, despite securing the first Old Firm clash win of the current campaign.
Although, Celtic could certainly do with some added quality in what will be a very long, tiring European and domestic campaign. Of course, in this day and age, success would be so much easier to achieve if the Glasgow side could create their dream XI that would consist of some of the greats over the past 10 years or so.
With that in mind, here’s a look at Celtic’s dream XI that could easily secure a top four spot…
CELTIC’S DREAM XI
Fraser Forster was very impressive during his time at Parkhead, which earned him a move to English Premier League side Southampton.
Kieran Tierney has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in the whole of world football as he continues to ensure consistency at the back. Meanwhile, Emilio Izaguirre was simply sensational during his first stint at Celtic as he never failed to deliver from set pieces, with the impressive Dedryck Boyata playing alongside a player who Celtic are still yet to replace, Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk.
Scott Brown lives and breaths for Celtic and is undoubtedly one of the best central midfielders to have ever played in the green and white shirt. Also, Olivier Ntcham has been an incredible find for Brendan Rodgers as he often pops up with a goal and is almost impossible to knock off the ball, while Victor Wanyama made a name for himself at Celtic.
Lastly, Kris Commons would set up in his familiar position in behind the strikers, buzzing around to make things happen and chipping in with a wonder strike every now and again. Meanwhile, the prolific Garry Hooper would partner summer departure Moussa Dembele at the pinnacle of the attack, as two of the most successful and potent strikers in the club’s history.
