Celtic have been their impressive selves in the current campaign as they push for the treble once again, despite losing to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
The Hoops managed to get the better of Rangers prior to the international break in what was the first Old Firm clash of the season, so it’s safe to say that Celtic now have the upper-hand.
However, things haven’t been perfect for Celtic in the current campaign as a couple of players have looked sluggish at times and are yet to really impress the manager. Indeed, Brendan Rodgers would have been hoping for better from some of his players, with doubt beginning to creep into his mind.
With that in mind, these TWO Celtic players have already let Rodgers down…
Jonny Hayes joined on a three-year deal from fellow Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen during last summer’s transfer window, but he has proven to be one of their worst pieces of transfer business in recent years.
Indeed, the winger has failed to have any kind of effect on proceedings and could even be on his way out of the club in January after being linked with a quick-fire move away during the summer.
Scott Sinclair was one of the standout performers in the last campaign as he produced a number of goals and assists for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
However, the Englishman has looked off the pace in the current campaign and constantly finds himself on the substitutes’ bench, with his early-season performances putting doubt into the mind of the manager about whether he is good enough to earn regular minutes.
