2018 saw Celtic complete back-to-back domestic trebles as Brendan Rodgers looks to carry the Bhoys on their journey for 10 in a row.
The Scottish giants were rocked during the summer with reported interest in some of their key players, with Moussa Dembele being the only man to depart, when the likes of Olivier Ntcham and Dedryck Boyata had also been heavily linked.
And, despite a shaky start to the current campaign, the Hoops have already managed to claim one of the domestic tournaments and are also within a chance of progressing to the next round of the Europa League.
Two of their player’s clearly stood out with their performances in 2018 and if they are able to continue those displays at the turn of the year, there is no doubt that Celtic will be guaranteed further success.
James Forrest had his best year at Celtic in 2018 and is already looking to build on it further.
The winger was second on their list of top goalscorers last season with 17 in all competitions and has already got himself nine in this campaign.
He is not just in red-hot form for Rodgers’ side either, having recently bagging a hat-trick for Scotland in a recent Nations League game.
The 27-year-old has not always been a favourite at Celtic Park, with many having held split opinions about him, however, he has gone a long way to silencing them and will look to continue to impress in 2019.
Kieran Tierney was not only one of Celtic’s best players in 2018, but arguably one of the best in Scotland and won the PFA Scotland and SFWA Young Player of the Year Awards, as well as the club’s own award for the same category.
The left-back has seen his stock rocket with the performances he put in for the Hoops, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs having watched him in action at times.
Just 21-years-old, Tierney has already captained the Scottish Premiership side and looks to be one of their most reliable players at the back.
The sky is surely the limit for the young defender and many will be watching with intrigue about how well his future pans out.
