Celtic took a commanding lead at the top of the SPFL as they widened the gap to 12 points thanks to a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock, coming from behind to win all three points.
Rangers’ draw away at St. Johnstone presented the Bhoys with the chance to strengthen their title push and Neil Lennon’s side made sure not to miss the opportunity. An early penalty gave the visitors the lead but Celtic responded before half-time with goals from Kristoffer Ajer and Odsonne Edouard, with the latter drawing significant praise from supporters.
The striker, 22, has excelled this season, particularly in the league with 20 goals in 25 games, and if he continues his current strike rate he will be fondly remembered by the Celtic faithful. He already seems to be a fan favourite with a number of compliments being made about him in reaction to his goal on Sunday.
