Daniel Arzani’s short time at Celtic could not have gone much worse for him since joining from Manchester City on loan this summer.
The Australian had found it tough to break into Brendan Rodgers’ first-team and once he finally did, he picked up a season-ending injury just 20 minutes into his debut.
The teenager, who has been predicted to have a very bright future in the game, suffered an ACL injury in the game against Dundee when he came on as a second-half substitute.
Already an Australia international, Arzani had required surgery and was flown to Spain to go under the knife.
He has since had the operation, which was successful, and has taken to Instagram to post a photo of himself in good spirits.

Arzani will now have to work hard in his rehabilitation and, although he is expected to miss the rest of this season, he will want to make sure next year’s stay at Celtic Park goes without a hitch.
Although Arzani is expected to be out for the rest of the campaign, the update that he has posted is certainly a positive one.
Celtic will have been disappointed that the player picked up a problem as serious as an ACL injury in his first competitive game for the club as they will have been looking forward to seeing him in action.
However, one crumb of comfort the Bhoys could take from the whole situation is that the 19-year-old still has another 18-months on his present loan deal with the club, so his career at Celtic Park is not just over for the time being.
