Celtic have had a number of injuries that they have had to deal with this season, with Daniel Arzani becoming the latest in a long line.
The Australia international confirmed that he would miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury in a post on Instagram.
The teenager picked up the horror injury just 20 minutes into his debut for the Bhoys, having joined on a two-year loan from Manchester City in the summer.
Arzani will head to Spain to be operated on by Dr Ramon Cugat, who has become renowned for his work with fellow City players, however, the midfielder is expected to return to Scotland.
It is understood that he will continue his rehabilitation at Celtic Park, amid recent speculation about the Premier League champion’s unhappiness about how he was being used by the Bhoys.
Arzani’s injury will have come at a devastating time for the player as he would have been looking to get his career at Celtic started.
The injury also comes at an unfortunate time for the Scottish Premiership champions as they have had their own concerns in the midfield recently, with the likes of Scott Brown and Eboue Koussi both having gone down recently.
However, it appears that the Australian teenager will remain at Parkhead under the current agreement and will look to work hard in his recovery, so he can finally make a belated impression during his time at Celtic.
