Celtic managed to secure all three points against Rangers in the first Old Firm clash of the campaign prior to the international break.
The Hoops haven’t exactly gotten off to the best possible start in the Scottish Premiership, but things are definitely looking up after their last victory over bitter rivals Rangers.
However, the Glasgow side will face St. Mirren in their next Scottish Premiership encounter, with the chance to gather even more momentum. The Saints currently find themselves near the foot of the table after four fixtures, so the Hoops shouldn’t face many difficulties.
Nevertheless, Brendan Rodgers has some decisions to make in terms of team selection, with a couple of players possibly forcing their way into the side.
With that in mind, these TWO Celtic men must start today…
The Scotland international has had to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench in recent times, with summer signing Odsonne Edouard getting the nod.
However, Leigh Griffiths did look dangerous after being brought on as a substitute against Rangers last time out, so you wouldn’t rule out a swap between the two forwards as Edouard wasn’t at his best.
Indeed, the 28-year-old has only found the back of the net on two occasions this season, but it has been his work rate and determination that has impressed many.
The young central defender signed on loan from English Premier League side Leicester City during the summer transfer window, so he will be looking to get some minutes under his belt this season.
Kristoffer Ajer hasn’t always looked comfortable at the back and Celtic have struggled to keep the opposition at bay at times this season, which means that Rodgers could be thinking about a switch.
Indeed, the defender is a very promising prospect and has European experience under his belt, so he will definitely have a big part to play in their campaign.
