Celtic haven’t been able to ensure consistency in Europe this season as they continue to lean towards an exit from the competition.
The Hoops have been rather impressive in the Scottish Premiership recently but remain behind Hearts in the Scottish Premiership. Although, they did suffer a huge boost on the injury front recently, as according to Celtic’s official Twitter account (via Celtsarehere), Kristoffer Ajer is back in training.
Kristoffer Ajer went off injured in Celtic’s 1-0 Cup victory over St Johnstone, and Brendan Rodgers was pessimistic at the time and believed the Norweigan would be out for the better part of six weeks.
But, it now appears as if he has returned to training apparently ahead of schedule.
Indeed, the central defender was the first choice partner for Dedryck Boyata before suffering the injury, so it’s great news that he is nearing his return.
Kristoffer Ajer has established himself as one of the standout performers in Scottish football over the past season, with his return to training coming at the perfect time ahead of a busy schedule.
Indeed, the Hoops have experienced a number of defensive issues and setbacks in recent times, so it will be nice for supporters to finally see things going their way.
