Lawwell must replace Rodgers with Jokanovic or Moyes

Celtic will be keen to kick on from here on in until the end of the season, with plenty of chances for silverware still available at this moment in time.

The Hoops already have the Scottish League Cup under their belt this season, so Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that he can add another treble to his CV by the end of the current campaign.

However, the Northern Irishman’s future has been surrounded with doubt recently, as according to The Sun, Leicester City are lining up Rodgers to replace the under-fire Claude Puel.

So, with the 45-year-old possibly moving to the King Power Stadium, Peter Lawwell must consider ONE of these TWO Rodgers replacements…

SLAVISA JOKANOVIC

Slavisa Jokanovic is currently out of job after being relieved of his duties at Premier League side Fulham.

The Serbian’s most impressive achievement was arguably getting the Cottagers promoted to the Premier League, as his side were inspired during the second half of last season.

Jokanovic promotes an attacking style of play, which would really benefit Celtic’s current batch of players. And, he has also shown that he can secure titles and success in his managerial career already, having lifted two Serbian titles and two Serbian cups from his time at Partizan Belgrade and a Thai title from his time at Muangthong United.

DAVID MOYES

David Moyes received a lot of criticism towards the end of his spell at West Ham United, as well as his time at Manchester United after replacing Sir Alex Ferguson. His managerial efforts at the London Stadium were less than impressive as he took them backwards, but he showed his quality at Old Trafford by producing a rather respectable win percentage, which stands at over 50.

He started his playing career at Celtic, so a return to his old club would definitely be appealing to him.

The Scotsman is tactically sound and promotes an attractive style of football, but it hasn’t always come off in the past, which has damaged his reputation slightly. Although, his time at Everton just goes to show how much he can develop a side, which is exactly what Celtic require in the Champions League.
