Leigh Griffiths shares positive update with fans on Twitter

Leigh Griffiths has spent the past month taking a break away from the game as the Celtic forward looks to deal with some personal issues.

The Scotland international has had a difficult campaign when it comes down to footballing reasons as well, having been dealt some frustrating injury concerns as well.

However, it appears that he has shared some encouraging news with Celtic fans on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Griffiths revealed that it would “not be long before I’m back doing all this!” when someone had shared a video.

However, he will have plenty of competition once he does return to Brendan Rodgers’ side, with the Bhoys having been active in the transfer window.

The Hoops have added Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah to their attacking ranks as they look to retain their Scottish Premiership title.

The Verdict:

Griffiths’ message on Twitter will be hugely encouraging for Celtic as he has played a key role for the club over the years.

The 28-year-old has been missed this season and his return in the second half of the campaign could be exactly what they need to overcome the challenge of Rangers.

Odsonne Edouard has performed well so far, however, the return of the Scotland international will be truly welcomed.
