Rangers fans delighted for Middleton as he bags first Gers goal

Glenn Middleton scored his first senior goal for Rangers on Saturday when Steven Gerrard’s side welcomed Dundee to Ibrox. The game finished 4-0 and with three goals to sit on at half-time the game was already won. However, Middleton came off the bench with 35 minutes to play and sealed the win after 83 minutes.

From the youngsters’ celebration, it was clear to see how much the goal meant to him and he’ll be desperate to continue his performances and find himself in the starting line up and amongst the goals more often. Stevie G will be looking forward to having selection headaches and with the likes of Daniel Candeias, Middleton and Ryan Kent all playing well, the wide options at the club all have quality.

The next game for Rangers comes on Thursday as they face a Europa League group match against Villarreal away in Spain. It will be one of the biggest games the club have played in a long time and if Gerrard can mastermind a win it will be a huge moment for all associated with the famous club. The Bluenoses’ 4-0 over Dundee was huge and after losing to Celtic it was the perfect way to bounce back, now they’ll be keen to use that momentum going into Thursday.
