Rangers battled it out with Hearts earlier today in the Scottish Premier League and after beating Craig Levien’s side 3-1 in their last meeting at Ibrox, and this time it was just as good, with another three points. It wasn’t all plain sailing, though, as a Gareth McAuley own goal gave Hearts the lead, although Connor Goldson and a fortunate goal from Alfredo Morelos turned it around.

Morelos’ goal was clearly offside, and it was one of those goals that the Gers are celebrating even more seeing as their luck with decisions is usually woeful. The Colombian was adjudged to have been on-side and it was a decision that Levien will have been fuming with when the full-time whistle was blown and he watched it back after the game. However, Steven Gerrard won’t mind and will have loved the big win.
It was a goal that even took Rangers to the top of the Scottish Premier League, even though Celtic have a game in hand over them and a win will see them take back the top spot in the table. For now, the Bluenoses will cherish life at the top of the table and will be hoping that Celtic will make a major slip up away at Motherwell which will see the Gers make that spot at the top their own, and it will all be due to an offside Morelos goal.

The Gers loved seeing Morelos firing for them and will hope they get a bit more luck with officiating like they did today.
