Scott Brown could miss next three games with injury

Celtic will be preparing for their trip to Germany to take on Red Bull Leipzig in the Europa League on Thursday.

However, Brendan Rodgers’ side will be without one of their key players for the game, and possibly for other fixtures as well.

According to a report by the Scottish Sun, Scott Brown could miss the next three matches for the Scottish Premiership champions.

It is believed the midfielder is facing ten days out with his latest setback after he picked up a knock in their win against Hibernian at the weekend.

Should Brown be unavailable for the duration specified, he will miss their Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Heart of Midlothian and could also be ruled out of their league fixture with Dundee.

The Verdict:

The loss of Brown will have been a big blow to Celtic and will have come at such an untimely moment in their season.

The Bhoys will have been hoping the knock to their captain was not serious and will now likely be without their influential skipper for the Cup game at the weekend.

Brown will not be the only key player absent for that game at Murrayfield, as Dedryck Boyata is suspended, leaving Rodgers with a big selection dilemma.
