Timothy Weah awaiting approval from PSG to complete Celtic switch - Celtic

With January right around the corner, Celtic are preparing to be rather active in the transfer window.

It is believed Brendan Rodgers’ side are looking to add attacking options to their squad as they look to continue their charge for the Scottish Premiership title.

The Bhoys have just Odsonne Edouard available as their main striker, with Leigh Griffiths unavailable with personal issues.

Timothy Weah has been strongly linked with a move to Celtic Park recently and it appears that he could be about to seal a temporary switch.

According to a report by The Daily Record, the Paris Saint-Germain teenager has agreed to join them for six months.

However, it is understood that the Ligue One outfit are yet to give the green light on the deal and Weah must wait to be given the nod.

The Verdict:

Weah is an exciting talent and would be an impressive swoop for Celtic should a deal be able to be completed.

The Scottish Premiership champions appear to have a good relationship with the French outfit, having completed a deal for Edouard in the summer after a loan spell with them at Parkhead.

With the Hoops seemingly desperate to add attacking options to their squad, whilst the United States of America international is keen on regular playing time, it could be a great deal for all involved.
