Lucas Paqueta could be sold as part of an AC Milan exodus, as has been reported by Calciomercato.
The Brazilian was signed in January 2019 for €35m (£30m), but the indication is that Milan are already beginning to give up on him.
According to the report, the other players who could be let go are Suso, Franck Kessie, Krzysztof Piatek, Davide Calabria, Alessio Romagnoli and Gianluigi Donnarumma.
In his first half-season with Milan, Paqueta made 12 starts and one substitute appearance, scoring one goal and getting one assist, as per WhoScored.
This time around, the 22-year-old has amassed four starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A, only managing one assist so far.
The attacking midfielder has been fairly ineffective on the ball, averaging 0.3 key passes and 0.9 dribbles each game, while completing 79.9% of the passes he has attempted this campaign.
He has been working hard though, as shown in his defensive statistics of 1.3 tackles, 0.6 interceptions and 0.7 clearances per game.
Paqueta has certainly struggled since joining Milan, but so have many other players during that time, so to sell him already would be a ludicrous decision, especially if it would see the club make a loss.
It is not a good plan for Milan to keep chopping and changing, so they should show patience with Brazilian and do their best to help the 22-year-old reach his potential.
Will AC Milan qualify for the Champions League?
