The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been absolutely delighted with their team’s performance following the Gers’ win away at St. Johnstone this evening. Indeed, while no one is seriously dreaming of the title, the victory up in Perthshire at least kept those slight hopes alive.
With the Saints having already sprung a surprise on the Light Blues this season, it was important Graeme Murty managed to win this evening. A trip up to McDiarmid Park could have been a potential banana skin and putting any sort of pressure on Celtic at this point can only be seen as a good thing.
One man to have impressed during the win was January signing, Greg Docherty. The former Hamilton man has largely had to wait for his chance under Murty, though helped set-up Josh Windass for their second goal last night and certainly impressed.
His performance has Gers fans purring and those on Twitter have even begun to compare him to a former Ibrox favourite…
Having said that, here’s a closer look at the reaction…
