Several Sheffield United fans have been waxing lyrical about Chris Basham on social media recently.

The 31-year-old has risen through the divisions with the club. He initially joined them back in 2014 and he played a key role in them winning the League One title in the 2016/17 campaign, starting 42 matches (Transfermarkt).
He then made the step up to the Championship and once again was a regular as they won promotion to the top flight last season, starting 39 of their 46 games (Transfermarkt).
The centre-back continues to be a key member of Chris Wilder’s side in the Premier League and has started each of their 14 league fixtures so far (Transfermarkt).
Having endured some struggles initially, particularly under Nigel Adkins when they slumped to an 11th place finish in League One, Basham has gone on to be an integral part of some of the best campaigns in recent history for Sheffield United.
As a result of that, he has become a firm fans favourite at Bramall Lane and quite a few supporters have been singing his praises on Twitter this week.
