Many Sheffield United fans have admitted on social media that they were impressed with Ben Osborn’s performance in their game against Brighton at the weekend.
The 25-year-old joined the Blades from Nottingham Forest last summer for £3.51m (Transfermarkt) but has failed to break into Chris Wilder’s team so far this term. Indeed, prior to the weekend, he had made just five substitute appearances totalling 52 minutes on the pitch (Transfermarkt).
However, he was brought on as a half-time substitute at Bramall Lane to replace the injured Enda Stevens against the Seagulls which gave him a substantial opportunity to show the supporters what he can do and it seems that plenty were impressed with his display. In fairness to him, he slotted in well and in the 45 minutes he played he managed to win two tackles, made one clearance, completed one successful dribble and played one accurate long ball (SofaScore).
