Sheffield United have been enjoying a great season back in the Premier League as they defy the odds and fight to finish in a European qualification spot.
They currently sit seventh, which could be a Europa League spot, and so their last few games are crucial if they want to stay in the top seven.
For manager Chris Wilder it has been a dream, as he has taken the club he supported from a young age from League One the the Premier League, per Transfermarkt, and supporters have fallen in love with the manager and the current squad of players.
John Lundstram has had a very impressive season for the Blades as he has scored four goals and picked up three assists, as well as managing on average 1.4 shots per game, via WhoScored.
The midfielder has recently returned from injury, and has posted an Instagram image which supporters of the club have loved to see as it shows how close the squad is. The post was a picture of Lundstram alongside Phil Jagielka, supported with the caption, “Used to look up to this fella as a youngen at the toffees, now he a team mate and a good pal.”
Whilst Jagielka was playing at Everton in his hey day, Lundstram was in the youth academy at the Toffees, and it is great that the two are now reunited doing great things together under Wilder.
Hopefully they continue to play a part at the club and can help the Blades achieve qualification for Europe this season.
