Sheffield United are having a great time in the Premier League and their season gets better and better as they continue to grind out big results that pushes them higher up the division.

The goal came from an unlikely player as defender John Egan made it two goals in two games, per Transfermarkt. Even though the fans were not able to be at the game due to recent events, the players and manager went absolutely crazy when Egan’s goal went in. Manager Chris Wilder possibly celebrated too much as he injured himself.
This result means the Blades are only one point away from Wolves in sixth, and only four points from Manchester United in fifth, per BBC Sport.
Clearly the goal meant a lot to the defender as he went to Instagram to share his joy. The Irishman posted a picture of the celebrations after the goal went in and supported it with the caption, ‘What a result 🤩’. Supporters will love this as it shows the great moment and also highlights how much the victory means to the players at the club.

When football returned, it looked like Egan was not at his best as the defence struggled and he also picked up a red card in the Blades’ 3-0 loss to Newcastle.
However with a clean sheet and two goals in his last two games, as well as being a part of the eleven that beat Tottenham 3-1, it looks like Egan is back to his best and if he continues to be the unlikely hero, there is no doubt that Wilder and supporters will start to appreciate him even more than they do now.
