Sheffield Wednesday have managed to bring Josh Windass back to the club and a lot of the Owls fan base seem to be delighted following the news.
The 26 year-old has signed on a permanent deal from League One side Wigan Athletic, per Transfermarkt. There were reportedly many sides were interested in signing him, but Wednesday came out on top.
Supporters of the club should be excited with the fact that he is now back at the Owls as he made nine appearances for the club whilst on a short-term loan last season and scored three goals, whilst managing to average 1.7 shots per game, via WhoScored.

The 26 year-old is naturally an attacking midfielder, but has made appearances in the past as a centre-forward or a second striker, and a player like this is definitely needed at Wednesday as they lost forwards Steven Fletcher and Atdhe Nuhiu due to their contracts expiring.
Hopefully Windass will be able to inject some attacking impetus and if he manages a goal every three games like he did on his loan spell then he would be a great acquisition.
Here is what fans said following the news, with one admitting they were “buzzing”:
