The Arsenal supporting supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are excited with the start which their team has made to the 2016/17 campaign and are optimistic that this season could well be the year in which they reclaim the Premier League title.
The Gunners are currently three points behind leaders Chelsea and Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United delighted the Arsenal contingent here in the Tavern, with many lauding it as a point gained.
Boss Arsene Wenger has come in for some criticism previously after failing to splash the cash in order to win major honours, and the Frenchman could finally open the chequebook when the January transfer window opens.
One Arsenal supporting punter is eagerly anticipating the Tavern’s renowned pub quiz and he says that the club must secure at least two more players if the club are to push on and win the league.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder netted an own goal in a game against the Gunners this past week in a 2-2 Champions League draw, to suggest that he might quite like a move to London!
The 24-year-old possessed some magical skills on the night at the Emirates Stadium, showcasing a plethora of skills that did enough to indicate that he could cut the demands of the Premier League.
Arsenal would get the edge on some of their rivals with the signing of the Italian and a move for the player would delight the Gunners’ faithful.
Marco Reus
The German international has remained loyal to his beloved Dortmund, when all around him have moved to pastures new – usually Bayern Munich!
With each passing season, however, it looks more likely that the winger will move on and sample the delights of another top European league.
If Arsenal can secure the services of the 27-year-old it would really make their title rivals stand up and take notice, with Reus considered truly world class.
