The Liverpool fans have been feeling confident in the Transfer Tavern in recent weeks due to their side’s impressive form both domestically and in Europe, and the latest injury boost emerging from the club has given them further reason to be feeling sure of themselves.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have really begun to strut their stuff in recent weeks as the likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino continue to prove they are two of the most devastating attacking talents in Europe. The recent acquisition of Virgil Van Dijk has also been a major factor for Liverpool’s recent upturn in form, as his calming influence on the back-four has helped The Red to become a much sturdier defensive unit.
However, Liverpool have received another boost in their bid to finish inside the top-four this season, as The Liverpool Echo confirmed that Nathaniel Clyne returned to full first-team training at Melwood yesterday for the first time since he was ruled out with a back injury 8 months ago.
His return has stimulated a debate amongst The Reds faithful on Twitter who are eager to see the 26-year-old return to first-team action in the near future. Trent Alexander Arnold and Joe Gomez have been selected by Klopp to fill in at right-back this season, and it appears that some of the supporters believe they could prevent Clyne from forcing his way back into the starting eleven.
However, that opinion has not been shared by the entirety of the fan base, as plenty of fans believe that neither of the aforementioned players can match the standard set by Clyne.
Here’s what the Liverpool supporters on Twitter have had to say about Clyne’s return to training…
You could argue that this is the first time Nathaniel Clyne’s spot has been under threat since joining Liverpool – he’s got it all to prove, or miss out – not a bad thing.
Hopefully a resurgent man emerges.

Why sell him, just because of the injury? He's been a stalwart at RB since coming over from Southampton
