The Glasgow Celtic corner of the Football Transfer Tavern is superbly buzzing and deservedly so when you take a glance at their stunning transfer business up to this point in the summer window. 

Brendan Rodgers’ has definitely used his contacts to improve his squad, although the recruitment won’t come anywhere as astonishing as last year’s when they brought in Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair to name a few, who went on to become favourites at Parkhead.

Former Aberdeen starlet Jonny Hayes is the stand-out acquisition at Celtic, having easily been one of the most efficient players in Scottish football in the 2016/17 term, as well as teenage midfielder Kundai Benyu from Ipswich Town alongside the Frenchman Olivier Ntcham.

It is clear that our landlord is ecstatic with the arrivals over the summer, and is hoping they continue to sustain their Scottish Premiership champions status, as well as improve in Europe.

This is the transfer business Celtic has to conduct in the coming weeks….

Nadir Ciftci (Axe)

The Turkish forward has found little to be proud about since making the move to Parkhead in 2015 following an impressive spell at Dundee United; enduring two loan spells away from Glasgow, one in his home country and another in Poland.

Our Celtic-mad barman knows the 25-year-old has talent but he is undoubtedly never going to get the chance under Brendan Rodgers, much to his frustration.

He will most probably recapture his form elsewhere but Celtic can’t afford to have him sitting in the stands week-in, week-out during the upcoming campaign – Ciftci needs to be axed as soon as possible.

Ryan Manning (Sign)

Whilst he isn’t a striking threat, Ryan Manning can definitely enforce himself as an attacking midfielder and that can really benefit Brendan Rodgers’ long-term envisaged plan at Parkhead.

A graduate of the infamous Queens Park Rangers, the Republic of Ireland international has made a good impression in the tavern from the handful of appearances he’s made for the Championship outfit.

The 21-year-old is a promising figure at Loftus Road, but with the offer of Champions League football and regular silverware, Manning may be inclined to join up with Celtic and it’s a deal that has to go through in the next few weeks.
