The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern watched on yesterday as England won on penalties at Old Trafford. The fans would love to see England win on penalties too in the coming weeks, but yesterday saw The Theatre of Dreams host Soccer Aid 2018, and the Red Devils have all been calling for the club to sign Usain Bolt.

Yesterday’s Soccer Aid was a huge success, with £5.5 million raised, enough to sign Pascal Cygan, for Unicef. The game was an entertaining one as England drew 3-3 with goals from Darren Bent, F2 freestyler, Jeremy Lynch and Michael Owen for Robbie Williams’ side and strikes from Robbie Keane, Juan Sebastian Veron and Clarence Seedorf for Usain Bolt’s rest of the world before England won on penalties.
The event was a huge success, and after Bolt’s side were only narrowly defeated the fans have now been calling for Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward to add him to the current crop of players on Manchester United’s payroll. Bolt previously had a trial for Borussia Dortmund earlier this year, with a number of fans coming to watch the Jamaican sprinter as he trained alongside the likes of Marco Reus and Christian Pulisic, however, a footballing career looks unlikely for the star.

Whilst United’s attack has been accused of lacking urgency and pace this season, Usain Bolt is not the answer. The sprinter played out one of his dreams of playing at Old Trafford, although the fans jokes about signing him should remain as just jokes.
