‘Sign the contract’ – Chelsea fans want 27-year-old to still be at Stamford Bridge next season

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been urging Eden Hazard to sign a new contract with the club and resist the temptation to sign for Real Madrid this summer. The Belgian winger is one of the best players in the Premier League and so after the World Cup, it’s fair to say that there could be a major transfer saga surrounding the winger.

Whilst the Chelsea fans will be worrying about the future of Hazard, the player himself will have his focus firmly set on the World Cup this month. The Belgian sensation played his part as his nation overcame Panama 3-0 in their opening World Cup group game, the 27-year-old will now be focusing on Belgium’s upcoming games against both Tunisia and England before the knockout stages.

Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea over the 12 months and the fact that The Blues won’t be playing Champions League football next season is a real blow to the club’s hopes of keeping him. The winger has potential to be one of the best players in the world at the right club and in the right system and with the way Real Madrid turn world class players into megastars, he’d fit right in at the Bernabeu.

Chelsea fans online, though, are doing all they can to keep him at the club over on Twitter. Hazard recently took to the site to reflect on Belgium’s first game, and fans have responded in kind with one message – please stay!

As you can see, the Chelsea fans main priority will be to hold onto Hazard this summer, as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League this season.
