Manchester United look set to meet Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund’s £20 million valuation for their goalscoring midfielder Shinji Kagawa.
Kagawa, 21, cost the German outfit only £295,000 last summer from J-League Cerezo Osaka but has seen his value go through the roof after some impressive displays in the first half of this season.
He has already found the net 8 times in 17 games for Die Borussen which has alerted the Premier League big guns.
United have been scouting the youngster for much of this season and the glowing reports filtered back to Sir Alex have made up his mind that this is the time to strike.
However, the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc told German newspaper Bild: “We desire to strike a long-term deal and aren’t going to panic because United have reportedly expressed an interest, but we’re planning to start talks with Shinji and his agent in the near future.
Unfortunately for the German Side the 21 cap Kagawa is said to favor a move to United and would be more than interested should they (United) meet the £20 million valuation.
