Sky Sports reporter says Tottenham are desperate to offload right-back Serge Aurier

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has told The Transfer Tavern that Tottenham are desperate to get rid of Serge Aurier – but are yet to receive any interest.

The right-back has been on the transfer list all summer, but Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t yet been able to offload the 28-year-old.

But the Spurs boss has made it clear that Aurier doesn’t isn’t in his plans having left him out of the squad that beat Manchester City and then the UEFA Conference League games with Pacos de Ferreira.

Aurier, who’s unlikely to be involved against Wolves this weekend, did play 15 minutes across the two games against Chelsea and Arsenal in pre-season but has slipped behind Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga in the right-back pecking order and doesn’t appear to have a future in north London.

He’d earlier in the summer gone public about wanting to return to PSG, and Bridge told The Transfer Tavern that the club can’t get him out quick enough:

“They are desperate to get rid of Aurier, they want him out the door, but no one’s come in.”
