West Ham fans at the Transfer Tavern are finally looking ahead after their side secured a vital 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Manuel Lanzini’s winner arrested a slump of five matches without a win and propelled the Hammers to 15th in the league.

With a little less pressure hanging over him, Slaven Bilic can now begin to move forward as he continues to reshape the side to play how he wants them to.

After the success of Dimitri Payet since his move last season, the Croatian may want to bring a bit more flair to his side to fill out the 60,000 capacity London Stadium.

LUCAS LIMA

If West Ham are looking for creative players, the first player they should look to is Lucas Lima.

The 26-year-old has quietly carved out a reputation in Brazil as a superb passer with excellent vision, but also someone who would have the discipline to put in a defensive shift for the side.

Lima has been linked with a move to China among other destinations but the Hammers could steal a march by expressing an interest.

He has also been capped 13 times for the national side, scoring two goals.

WILLIAM

Ever since losing loanee Carl Jenkinson to injury last season, the Hammers have struggled at right-back.

They’ve tried a host of different options there: youngster Sam Byram, the experienced Alvaro Arbeloa, Harvard Nordtveit and even top scorer Michail Antonio.

One option who may not break the bank is Internacional’s wing-back William.

Still only 21, the Brazilian is having a superb season having clocked up four assists in 24 games in a struggling side.

JUNIOR MORAES

Considering what they’ve been presented with so far, West Ham’s season would drastically improve if they simply had a striker who know where the goal was.

With Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew injured, Bilic brought in Simone Zaza instead on loan to lead the line.

So far the Italian hasn’t been popular among fans at the Tavern, with many Hammers saying they’d rather see Ashley Fletcher given a run up front.

That could work, or Bilic could plump for Dynamo Kiev’s Junior Moraes, who is the current top scorer in the Ukrainian league with six goals.
