Southampton could be the perfect club for £3.6m-rated Chelsea to fully develop

Mount

The Southampton fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their beloved side can reach their peak performances once again because another season that is disastrous and these punters won’t be able to take it anymore.

Mark Hughes thankfully steered the sinking ship away from relegation thanks to the last game of the season but it could have been a lot worse for Southampton and really they should count themselves lucky to still be in the Premier League. The board need to financially get behind the team this summer, and a brilliant piece of business could be if the Saints target Chelsea-owned Mason Mount, who is valued at £3.6 million on Transfermarkt.

The 19-year-old has performed brilliantly whilst out on-loan with Dutch outfit Vitesse as from that attacking midfield role he so enjoys, scored 13 goals and based 10 assists in all competitions last year. That is a great record for any midfielder in any league and now Mount should be seriously considered by a team like Southampton, who cherish promoting youngsters and turning them into superstars.

Mason Mount is one of many Chelsea stars out on-loan but judging by his performances in Holland, it’s clear to see the 19-year-old has great talent that has to be admired. His dribbling ability is wonderful and the talent he possesses when on the ball makes it easy for him to get around defenders trying to stop him on his quest to create a chance for his team.

Southampton lack a real creative talent like Mason Mount and by at least loaning him from Chelsea, the 19-year-old can present his ability in the Premier League to show Chelsea exactly what they’re missing out on.
