A handful of Southampton fans have praised the club’s U-23 side after a massive win in Premier League 2 which saw the young Saints climb off the bottom of the table.
Dare Olufunwa’s header in the 85th minute was all that separated Southampton from Wolves at Staplewood, with the defender’s late winner being the only goal in a massive fixture at the bottom of the Premier League 2 table. The south coast club headed into last night’s game bottom of the standings, with the win seeing the Saints overtake the West Midlands side in 11th (per the Premier League’s official website).
It was a massive win for Dave Horseman’s side, and Southampton supporters on social media were pleased to see the U-23 side claim only their fourth win of the PL 2 season, with the Saints now three points clear of Wolves in bottom place and four off 10th-placed Tottenham.
