Lots of Southampton fans have been left worried heading into the new season due to assistant coach Danny Rohl departing just before the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Daily Echo reported that Rohl left his post at Southampton for reasons that are unclear; however, it is suggested that this was unexpected due to the club announcing a new coaching set-up on July 1.

The two previously worked together at RB Leipzig, helping them reach second place in the Bundesliga.
According to the previous report, Hasenhuttl will not be going after a number two and will figurehead the management team with a series of coaches who will perform under his guise. It suggests that the Austrian is happy with how the staff have operated since settling into their new roles.
Craig Fleming has now taken on the permanent role of being a first-team coach after doing the job on a temporary basis since Hasenhuttl’s arrival. The 47-year-old was previously an academy coach at Southampton.
There’s been a mixed response from the Saints fans. Many are concerned about his departure being so close to the start of the season and are unsure whether not having an assistant will be too draining for the 51-year-old. Alternatively, some fans have full faith in him and trust that he will be fine without a number two.
Here are some of the responses to the news below…
Strange this has happened and the worry is no reason has been given – disappointing Rohl has gone imo

If Ralph's cool with the current set up, I'm unconcerned.

Watson shouting out the orders from the touch line doesn’t really do it for me to be honest.

This seems bad? Or if not bad at least not good. I thought Rohl was a very highly thought of coach?
