Southampton: Fans react positively to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s message

Southampton fell to the heaviest defeat in their history last Friday, taught a footballing lesson by Leicester City at St Mary’s.
The tone was set from the off after Ben Chilwell found the net for the visitors inside 10 minutes. Full-back Ryan Bertrand then saw red for a rash tackle on Ayoze Perez, and before too long there was an onslaught of goals from the Foxes for Saints to contend with.

With half-time looming Jamie Vardy made it 5-0 to Leicester at the interval, but the job was far from finished.

Saints conceded four more goals without reply in the second half and the contest ended 9-0, with the south coast club now dropping into the bottom three ahead of a tough trip to Manchester City at the weekend.
Things are not looking good for Southampton at the moment, with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl’s position at the club now under extreme scrutiny.
The Austrian has since come out and said that the time for ‘talking’ and ‘messages’ are now over, and that the club will now direct all of their energy towards the upcoming Manchester City matches (in the EFL Cup and Premier League this week).
