Many Southampton fans have expressed their love for Maya Yoshida after the club tweeted on his seventh year anniversary at the club.
The club tweeted today that the Japan international has been at the club for seven years after joining from VVV-Venlo in the Netherlands.

The 31-year-old joined on August 30, 2012, for a fee of £2.5m and has gone onto play 147 league games for the club, scoring 11 times, according to Soccerbase.
The centre-half’s deal expires at the end of the season, but he has still featured twice for Southampton this season, starting in their 2-1 loss versus Liverpool and coming on in their 1-0 win away at Fulham in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, as per Transfermarkt.
Yoshida is the captain of the Japanese football team and has amassed a remarkable 95 caps for the international side, scoring an impressive 10 goals.
