Fans of Southampton have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed the comments of Saints manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl, discussing his current contract situation.

Having taken over from a Mark Hughes Southampton side that was languishing down in 18th place in the Premier League standings, Hasenhuttl has highly impressed during his relatively short time at St. Mary's, guiding Saints to a 16th placed finish in his first half-season in charge, before securing an 11th placed finish in his first full season, while he currently has the team sitting in 13th place this term.

And, in recent comments made to Sky Sports Austria (via Sport Witness), the 53-year-old appeared to indicate that he is not planning on going anywhere in the foreseeable future, stating: "I'm planning another three years at Southampton because I still have a three-year contract. At the moment, there are not many scenarios where I can imagine ending this."

After Saints Extra relayed the Austrian's comments on Twitter, fans of Southampton then flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing delighted with what they perceive to be Hasenhuttl's commitment to the club, while others called for Saints' owners to hand the manager a new long-term deal.

So, what exactly did these Southampton fans have to say in reaction to Ralph Hasenhuttl's comments?

"Give him a lifetime contract if he's prepared to stay for its duration."
