Southampton fans have been reacting to comments from Mario Lemina, who said he was too much of an individualist earlier in his career.

Lemina made the move to the St. Mary's Stadium from Juventus, meaning he has a certain amount of pedigree. However, it never really worked for him on the south-coast. He managed just 52 appearances for the club (Transfermarkt) and, via loan spells at Galatasaray and Fulham, he finally departed permanently this summer.

His attitude was brought into question with the Saints (via This is Futbol), sometimes making him an unpopular player amongst the club's supporters. However, in an interview with the Athletic, he has at least admitted his previous behaviour was wrong, and he should have been more worried about the team rather than just himself.

The comments were shared on Twitter by @SaintsExtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
