Many Southampton fans were far from happy with the performance of Nathan Redmond during their FA Cup semi-final defeat on Sunday.
The Saints were in action against Leicester City at Wembley as they attempted to reach the final of the competition. While it has been a difficult few months for Southampton, their FA Cup run has been their saving grace. However, they failed to muster even a single shot on target against the Foxes as they lost 1-0 (SofaScore) – quite simply, that is just not good enough.
Many supporters were disappointed with the performance of Redmond in particular. The 27-year-old started in the unfamiliar position of centre-forward and it was quite clear he was uncomfortable in that role. He completed only nine passes and failed to have much of an impact on the game, not even recording a single shot.

These fans were far from happy with the display of the former Norwich City man, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts, with one disgruntled supporter even dubbing him “useless”.
