Tottenham fans have flooded to Twitter to discuss Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold’s verdict on Juan Foyth.
Having signed the Argentine defender from Estudiantes for a reported £8m on a five-year deal back in the summer of 2017, Foyth has struggled to consistently hold down a place in the Spurs first-team.
The now 22-year-old has played just 32 times in total for the senior side, with this campaign seeing him make only seven appearances across all competitions.

Injuries have played their part in restricting his game-time, but he has also faced stiff competition for places, with the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez and now Japhet Tanganga all seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order.
Despite his lack of action, Gold has urged the north London side not to cut their losses on the young defender just yet, suggesting that he still has all the raw ingredients to develop into a top defender.
And after hearing what Gold had to say about the Argentine, Spurs fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter.
You need some fresh air mate, he’s awful.

He should be loaned and get good game time and experience

Simply hasn’t got the game to play at PL level.

Sorry
Like Aurier, to many mistakes and Brainfarts…On the OUT list for me

He’s got all the attributes to be a quality CB or DCM, if he cuts out the silly errors (Norwich away) & gets a run of games I believe he’ll shield the back 4 & do a better job than Dier. He’s good on the ball (has been his downfall) and has good vision. Hope he takes his chance.

Way to many big mistakes and way too few good plays out him for me to hold much hope that he will turn into anything worthwhile. His passing and slow feet seem to hold him back from being a quality RB.
If we can get a decent fee for him would prefer to sell him to fund additions

He is a liability the same as aurier he needs to go..👍👍

I think he’s a very tidy player and makes mistakes like all young players do.
I see a lot of Gallas in him and it would be a mistake to let him go in my opinion.— Adrian Maling (@SuneJim442) April 18, 2020
Use him as bait for something better… like a Dias. Foyth doesn’t have the game for England
